The project for the redevelopment of the town of Spello included the installation of new stone paving and street furniture, as well as the renovation of sewerage, aqueduct, public lighting, power lines, telephone, and fibre optic networks. Given the narrow width of most streets and the Archaeological Superintendency's requirement to preserve the existing Roman Aqueduct, extensive and coordinated planning was necessary to minimise the impact on areas affected by the construction works, particularly on the archaeological site. Due to the extensive scope of the project and the specific requirements for construction site management—particularly regarding safety—the flooring project was meticulously coordinated with the infrastructural network study. This coordination aimed to integrate various professional profiles effectively while evaluating the compatibility of technical and functional choices with aesthetic and formal considerations. The goal was to preserve and reconstruct a unified and coherent image that respected the established historical character.
