Palazzo Gallenga Stuart was constructed beginning in 1737 under the direction of Marquis Giuseppe Antinori to showcase the grandeur of the noble Perugian family. The project focused on minimally invasive interventions, essential for meeting both current and future client needs. This encompassed conservative restoration of iconic travertine elements, seismic reinforcement of the wooden trusses, implementation of fire safety measures, and upgrading of the building's infrastructure. These efforts aimed to enhance management efficiency, ensure compliance with modern public building standards, and optimise usability. The fire prevention project posed the primary challenge, requiring continuous coordination with the Superintendence to find solutions that best preserved the historical and artistic integrity of the internal spaces. The design work focused on meticulously studying the components constituting the vestments to assess their condition, understand the causes of degradation, identify anomalies, and determine the historical additions, all to select the most appropriate intervention techniques.
