Borgo Colognola is a historic residence dating back to 1263, nestled between Monte Tezio and Colle di Canneto in the hamlet of Cenerente (PG). The complex, under the oversight of the Superintendence for Architectural and Historic Artistic Heritage, comprises several structures built and modified over different periods. It stands as a remarkable example of a rural settlement, featuring a manor house, chapel, rural dwellings, and spaces dedicated to artisanal activities. Additionally, it boasts a terraced garden that overlooks the valley. The project involved the redevelopment of the entire complex, enhancing its existing unique characteristics while adapting certain areas, particularly the former production spaces. The interventions primarily involved rehabilitating and restoring the building. This included structural improvements to ensure functionality and structural integrity aligned with its intended purposes, while preserving the original materials and construction techniques, as well as addressing its finishes.
