The expansion of the Villa Erizzo Library in Mestre (VE) is nearing completion, with SAB having developed the definitive and executive project plans.
The project expands the library spaces and establishes distinct, recognizable functional areas tailored to the different types of users. A new extension was constructed, designed to integrate harmoniously with the environment and architecturally complement the existing historic buildings. The expanded library now has a capacity of approximately 29.600 volumes, distributed across around 985 meters of shelving. The design of the new building enhances the overall site by creating an internal courtyard, bordered on two sides by the wings of the 18th-century Villa, which is protected under Legislative Decree 42/2004.
